A rectangular block looks like workshop equipment somebody forgot to move. The Show Cribs are the version designed to be looked at. The pyramid form is tapered on all four sides , which reads as a plinth rather than a prop, and the taper also widens the base so the crib is more stable than a straight sided block of the same height. They give 12" of lift for clear access underneath, carry 1,500 lbs per crib , and take tires up to 12" wide on a diameter up to 32" , which is more than the standard cribs allow.
