A two-post car lift from the Bay Lift Pro range

Our approach

Specs first, sales second

A car lift is one of the few things a shop buys that is bolted to the floor and expected to hold a vehicle over someone’s head. The decision is governed by things that cannot be negotiated — ceiling height, bay width, slab thickness, the power you actually have at the wall — and getting any of them wrong is expensive to undo.

So the listings here lead with the manufacturer’s spec grid rather than marketing copy: capacity, lifting height, motor and voltage, concrete requirement, overall footprint, and the warranty as the manufacturer words it. Where a manual exists, it is hosted on the product page so you can read the installation requirements before you buy.

The same applies to money. Heavy items are freight, and freight on a two-post lift is not a rounding error — so the surcharge is shown on the product page, and the priced options are listed rather than sprung on you at checkout.

Why buy from us

Specified honestly

Capacity, lift height, power supply and concrete requirement come straight from the manufacturer’s spec sheet and sit on every product page.

Freight quoted up front

Heavy items show their shipping surcharge before you order, so the price you see is the price you pay.

Options priced, not hidden

Extension kits, drip trays, lifting pads and power upgrades are listed with their real prices rather than discovered at checkout.

Manuals on the site

Manufacturer manuals and installation guides are hosted here, so you can read the requirements before you buy, not after it arrives.

How to buy a lift

From your bay dimensions to a working lift

  1. 01

    Work out what fits

Ceiling height, bay width, concrete thickness and available power decide which lifts are even possible. Start there, not with the price.

  2. 02

    Compare on the specs

Every listing carries the manufacturer’s spec grid, so two lifts at the same capacity can be compared on the numbers that differ.

  3. 03

    Order with freight known

The freight surcharge for heavy items is shown before you order, and we confirm lead time on your specific machine.

  4. 04

    Install to the manual

Lifts should be installed by a qualified installer and, where your jurisdiction requires it, inspected. The manual is on the product page.
