About tool storage units

Tool storage is judged on three things: the gauge of the steel, the rating of the drawer slides, and how it rolls when every drawer is full.

What to check before you order

• Steel gauge — a lower number is thicker steel
• Drawer slide rating and whether the slides are ball-bearing
• Caster size and load rating, which decide how it moves when loaded
• Overall width against the wall or bay you are fitting it into
