From Homak

The Smallest RS Pro Cabinet Homak Builds, and Still Every Bit the Serious Pro Rig Underneath The 27" RS Pro 7-Drawer Roller Cabinet is the compact RS Pro base, the same 16-gauge welded steel construction, HMC tubular lock, and replaceable ball-bearing slides that ship in the flagship 54", packed into a 27" footprint that fits a single bay or a fabrication shop. Seven drawers, 9,115 cubic inches of usable storage, more than enough for a full hand-tool loadout: sockets, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, hex sets, plus one deep drawer at the bottom for impact drivers or larger gear. Rolls on four 5"x2" heavy-duty casters rated 520 lbs each , 2,080 lbs total capacity. Two are swivel-locking (front), two are fixed (rear), the RS Pro standard for keeping a loaded cabinet trackable when you push and holding position at the bay. Body and frame built from 16-gauge steel with a 3.2 mil UV-protective high-gloss powder coat, the same construction and finish as the big RS Pro cabinets. Seven drawers ride on replaceable ball-bearing slides rated 100 lbs per pair. That "replaceable" is the tell: Homak expects the cabinet to outlive the slides, so you swap the pair, not the drawer. HMC High Security tubular locking system secures the whole drawer bank with one key. Full-length black aluminum contoured scoop-style lift-latch pulls prevent accidental drawer openings when the cabinet rolls over shop-floor cracks. Five color options: Midnight Black, Fury Red, Rally Sport Blue, Competition Orange, or Monster Green. Backed by Homak's Exclusive Limited Lifetime Warranty . Need more drawer…

About tool storage units

Tool storage is judged on three things: the gauge of the steel, the rating of the drawer slides, and how it rolls when every drawer is full.

What to check before you order

• Steel gauge — a lower number is thicker steel
• Drawer slide rating and whether the slides are ball-bearing
• Caster size and load rating, which decide how it moves when loaded
• Overall width against the wall or bay you are fitting it into
