About warehouse trucks

Narrow-aisle material handling. Straddle stackers carry the load between their legs so the truck stays short; reach trucks extend the mast into the rack instead of driving into it; order pickers lift the operator to the goods.

What to check before you order

• Aisle width available, which is what rules out a counterbalance forklift
• Lift height and capacity at that height — capacity falls as the mast extends
• Battery type and charging: how many shifts between charges
• Floor condition, since these are indoor machines with small wheels
